Curtain Call

Agabhumi believes in what they call "Retailing with a conscience". The company recognizes that being involved with the community and giving back to it is a significant component of true success. Agabhumi makes meaningful contributions to many worthy causes. Below is a partial list of groups and organizations to which contributions are made:

EOD Warrior Foundation
Agabhumi is proud to donate 25% of sales for the "Missing Peace Collection" to the EOD Warrior Foundation whose mission is to improve the quality of life for wounded EOD warriors and their families, the families of fallen EOD warriors, and the EOD community by providing emergency financial relief, scholarship opportunities, physical, social, and emotional support. Their selflessness is as boundless as our opportunities to be peaceful.

Mayor's Youth Council for anti-bullying
The “Pearl Girl” line of jewelry is after a young, female super-hero created by Agabhumi. The analogy of the pearl is purposeful to connote the layers of strength and value that build up over time in young women. The exclusive line consists of treasures fashioned from freshwater pearls, mother of pearl shell and abalone shell. Fifteen percent of all sales from the “Pearl Girl” line will be donated to the Mayor’s Youth Council for anti-bullying.

Stamford Schools
Agabhumi holds an event twice a year in support of local schools where 20% of all proceeds is donated to the participating school of the customer's choice.

Stamford Health Foundation/Bennett Cancer Center
These donations are made to the Stamford Health Foundation and earmarked for the Mobile Mammography Unit. Funds are raised through parties in the store and off site where 20% of all proceeds are donated. These functions have raised over $12,000.
In addition Regina has created several Breast Cancer Awareness groups of jewelry for which 30% of the proceeds are contributed.

ALF (American Liver Foundation)
Since 2011, Michael has served as the chairman of the American Liver Foundation's Fairfield County "Liver Life Walk". As a recipient of a life saving liver transplant 10 years ago, this is an organization that is near and dear to Michael's heart. The recorded contributions are direct payments to the ALF from Agabhumi's Liver Life Walk team and the Agabhumi stores.

The AGABHUMI TEAM walk team has been the leading fundraiser for the Liver Life Walk for the past 4 years. Their team has raised in excess of $50,000 for the American Liver Foundation.

Columbia University and the New York Presbyterian Hospital
These contributions come from sales of Agabhumi's "Donate Life for the circle of life" collection. Designed by Agabhumi to benefit research into all organ transplantation.

Dollars for Scholars
Michael and Regina, together with Michael's brother have created the named scholarship "Agabhumi Scholarship for Community Service in Honor of their mother, Doris Kirshbaum". Doris was named Citizen of the Year in Stamford in 1966 for her contributions to the community.
